| 中文描述 | 許多澤西島上的牛群在放牧於含有毛地黃的灌木叢的放牧地後10天開始有呼吸困難的症狀.有些動物在離開此放牧地12小時內即恢復並試圖治療,然而其他的需要3天才恢復.有一動物在症狀開始後2天死亡還有一頭懷孕7個月的牛流產.很明顯的此牛吃過毛地黃,但無生殖方面的症候群有報告.在色層分析時可看到瘤胃內容物有毛地黃成分.可推斷此病的爆發和毛地黃有關.綿羊和山羊也會因為毛地黃而有中毒的症狀. (Wijnberg et al.). |

| 英文描述 | Several cows in a herd of Jerseys developed dyspnea 10 days after starting to graze in a pasture which had DIGIALIS PURPUREA in hedgerows. Some of the animals recovered within 12 hours of removal from the pasture and attempts at treatment, while others required up to 3 days to recover. An animal died two days after the onset of signs and one aborted a 7 month fetus. There was evidence that the cattle had eaten the foxglove, but no attempt to reproduce the syndrome was reported. Rumen contents showed digitoxin when analyzed by chromatography. It was suspected that this outbreak was due to foxglove. Sheep and goats have also developed intoxication due to DIGITALIS PURPUREA (Wijnberg et al.). |
